Description

Join us on August 27th for our first ever Comedy Night at the Bower Center! We welcome Roanoke-based Comedian L.A Preston, along with five of his friends for a night full of laughs. The show will be for adults 18 and up, with a cash bar available for beverages and snacks.

Comedians:

  • LA Preston
    • L.A. Preston-Born in Bridgeport, CT, but has lived his life in Roanoke, VA since 15. Started doing comedy in the summer of '93 after watching Bernie Mac and D.L. Hughley's performance in Greensboro, NC. Since then, he has been doing shows all over the United States. Producer of The R.E.A.L.(Raw Entertaining Authentic Lasting) Funny and host of this show
  • Emily Berry
    • A resident of Roanoke, VA, this vivacious, voluptuous Mom of 3. Out, stretching her patience even further than her children try it. Trying her hand & mouth at stand-up comedy. Come share the laughs & catch her on her Socials: FB, IG, YT, TT. @Berrys.Bits (FB) & (IG) @berry_bits Emily Berry
  • Derek Nowlin
    • Derek Nowlin, 36 years old originally from Christiansburg, VA. 9 years in the U.S. Army on active Duty, and Deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan twice. Has a podcast on YouTube called “Steak & Sauce”
  • The Gemini Goddess
    • “JAI ‘The Gemini Goddess’ Briskey from Roanoke, Mom, Entrepreneur, and Stand -up comic (because she can’t afford therapy 😬😂). Loves making people think while laughing, meeting new people, and inspiring others to live their BEST lives!!!
  • Malcom Franklin
    • Born and raised in Murfreesboro Tennessee most known as one of the hardest working and aspiring up and coming comedians in the southeast region  
  • Jake Snyder
    • Jake Snyder. Has been titled "The Funniest 6'9" comedian from Lynchburg, VA." Has opened for Eddie Pepitone and will be headlining this show.
