July 19-23 HOME IS WHERE WE IMAGINE IT IS
Instructors: Carol Delledera (Clay), Judy Hylton (Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media), and Linda Parker (Dance)
Home is where we imagine it is Home is where the heart is...or some say where we imagine it to be. Some build their homes in a tree, on a cliff, a geodesic dome, yet some find it in a shell, others in a shoe. Let examine what can be a home, both real and imagined! Contemplate where you might like to make your home and what would it be like! In Drawing, Painting, and Mixed Media, we will make homes from from paper and several other materials, some in 2-D and some in 3-D. Whether your home is a bird’s nest, inside an ancient tree or made of cardboard you’ll have fun exploring the possibilities! In Clay, we will explore shape and form for each child’s individual vision of a home, and guide them to create their imagined place. In Dance we will use Jazz steps to dance like snails, like birds leaving their nest, like plants unfurling from a seed. We’ll find home in many imaginary places.
$150 for the week.
