Felted Gnome

Description

Come cool off felting a fun summer gnome where you will learn the art of needle felting. In this beginner-friendly class, you will create your own charming gnome and lovely felted mushrooms for added detail. Instructor Belle will guide you step by step through the process, so no experience is needed. All supplies are included. You will use colorful wool and special felting needles to shape your gnome and mushrooms. As you felt, you will discover how to layer wool and add little features that make your creation unique. This class is perfect for anyone looking to try something new and enjoy a relaxing time. Bring a friend or come on your own – you will leave with a cute gnome and mushrooms to display or give as a gift!

INSTRUCTOR BIO 

Belle Thomas is a long-time artist and needle felt teacher with a passion for the medium. Stumbling upon this medium by accident, she soon became an avid felter. She has been creating needle felt paintings for the last several years, and her work is featured in several locations in Virginia. Belle enjoys teaching and bringing this uncommon medium to the public with her monthly classes and events. 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

• Cancellations made 1 week or more in advance of the class date will receive a 100% refund. 
• Cancellations made within 3 - 6 days will receive a 50% refund. 
• Cancellations made within 48 hours to the class will not be refunded. 
• Students will have the option to transfer registration to another class in place of receiving a refund. 
  • Special consideration will be given to cancellations due to health-related issues and family emergencies. 
  • If you plan miss a session of class, please inform your instructor, or email our Program Coordinator, Lauren Hood, at L.hood@bowercenter.org 
  • There will be no refunds or discounts given for missed classes.
